Abstract

Women’s educational empowerment is a crucial issue in the development of a balanced and inclusive society. Within the Islamic framework, hadith literature plays a significant role in shaping perspectives and practices concerning women’s education. However, there remains a notable imbalance between the teachings of the hadith and contemporary practices, which are often influenced by cultural and social factors. This article examines hadith related to the empowerment of women’s education and their implications for women’s empowerment more broadly. Employing a qualitative approach through textual analysis of hadith sources, the study finds that these narrations strongly emphasize the importance of education for women and acknowledge their role as educators within the family and society. Furthermore, the findings indicate that women’s education constitutes a religious obligation that contributes to the development of women’s autonomy and promotes the well-being of the family, society, and the ummah.
